elemis pro collagen cleansing balm review

I think that Elemis Po Collagen Cleansing Balm has literally saved my skin!

You might have noticed that I haven’t been posting as many product reviews lately – well there’s reason for that- I had been trying so many different lotions and potions that I really needed to give my skin a much deserved break as it was starting to get irritated by the frequent changes . Thank goodness  for this fabulous cleansing balm from Elemis. It has a waxy consistency, literally melts on contact and has an incredibly soothing effect on the skin.

I have been applying and leaving it on as a treatment mask too.  At night I have been using the balm twice – once as a cleanser and rinsing off (with the exfoliating cloth provided) , and then I have applied a thin layer without rinsing instead of applying a night cream.

The result has been stress free skin and no more irritation.

I love the smell – it reminds me of a visit to a spa- and is particularly relaxing at night.

The active ingredients: Mimosa and Rose waxes, UK Starflower Oil, UK Elderberry Seed  Oil, Optimega Oil, Coconut, Sweet Almond Oil , Padina Pavonica and Vitamin E.

I have long been a fan of cleansing balms – including Eve Lom and Emma Hardie – but I have to say that this by far my favourite – it will take a lot to wean me off!

Price £39.50 from John Lewis . It is expensive for a cleanser but you only use a small amount. I have worked out that it probably costs about £10 a month if you use it twice daily.

PS. I have the help of a group of ladies to try out more products to share the reviews – will be sharing soon :-)
